Product Review

Ellie is a girly girl.   I'm a girly girl.  But the dear thing cannot sit still if her life depended on it...literally.  I've attempted to paint her toenails once or twice before...usually to no avail, and resulting in polish all over her feet and no where on her toenails.  Well, I have a victory to claim!

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Nail polish is the fastest drying polish I've EVER used.  Want proof?  Well, I don't have an actual photo at the moment, but I was able to succesfully paint all 10 of Ellie's toes....perfectly. (yes, she only has 10!:)  No smudges, mishaps or going out of the lines.

But, not only is it great for kiddies, but I love that I can paint my nails and have them dry before I finish the other hand....its perfect for moms too!

You guys have got to try this stuff.  Good Houskeeping rated it:

  • Highest score for resisting chips
  • Highest score for lasting shine
  • Nails look great in just one coat
Now, they didn't give it the highest score for quickist drying time...but it has my stamp of approval!

I don't do this very often, but when I come across something I really like I love to tell people about it.  It's always nice to get an actual opinion on something you were thinking about buying, right?  Well, in this case....the product was horrible. H.O. double R I.B.L.E.

I'm a big fan of mascara.  If I did have to survive on an island with only one product, mascara would be my weapon of choice.  But Loreal has really TANKED on this one!

The thing I loved most about this mascara, or the idea of it....???  The wand, of course!  I loved the idea that it had "bristles" on almost every angle.  Which in itself, is the idea of the century in the make-up world.  But here are the cons:
1. the actual stick part of the wand is VERY flimsy.  Flimsy probably is not descriptive enough.
2. the "bristles" are flimsy-er
3. This mascara CLUMPS like you would not believe!

All in all, it doesn't get much crappier then this stuff.  I mean, I'm guessing the Dollar store produces products of the same caliber, but if I'm going to buy crappy, I'd rather spend $1 than $9.  Needless to say, I'm still using the junk!  For how long, I'm not sure....but I would feel too much guilt for spending money on a product just to throw it out.

So, my loss is your gain.  This stuff is not even worth considering, I promise!
